Janesville Community Radio Needs Your Support

In Janesville, we’ve been working hard to provide alternative media to the area for over a year. Now we’re heading into crunch time if we want to be able to continue providing truly progressive, local, and alternative media. This December, please consider a generous donation to help us build the tower to go on the airwaves at 103.5 FM in June 2015.

Janesville Community Radio needs your support today to continue providing you with the podcast programming which you have become familiar with as an alternative to Janesville’s limited media market. New programs added recently include “Two Sense” (contemporary politics); Somewhere in the Middle (Liberal v. Conservative Counterpoint); and Mindful Mondays (teaching mindful living).

As you might imagine, this is NOT an easy task. Our December fund drive has been slow and we count on individual contributions. We know we can make it if you donate now. Your tax-deductible donations are what the future of Janesville Community Radio runs on. We are truly ALTERNATIVE with no corporate partnerships, and no filters as we attempt to get YOUR message out. (Any and all nonprofit PSA’s are WELCOMED!) YOU are the owner, and contributors, of Janesville Community Radio. Please give generously today at and keep truly independent WISCONSIN journalism and activism alive.

We are a group of volunteers in Janesville, Wisconsin, looking to bring community radio station to our community!

Last year, we applied and received a permit from FCC to construct a LPFM radio tower and we will begin broadcasting at 103.5 FM in June of 2015.  Since November of 2013,  we are broadcasting online, and you can hear our podcasts by going to Janesville Community Radio on Facebook.

We know this project will be a success because our community needs it and because our business model relies on strong participation from volunteers who are involved in every aspect of the station.  We are also working on joint programming with Hedberg Public Library and School District of Janesville, where we will help train students to create original podcasts.

Your generous contributions will help us get the tower and the equipment we need!  From everyone at Janesville Community Radio: Thanks!!!
